IELTS Academic is intended for students aiming to enroll in undergraduate or postgraduate courses at universities and colleges in English-speaking countries
The IELTS Academic test assesses readiness to study or train in an English-speaking
environment, ideal for individuals planning higher education abroad or seeking
professional registration.

The IELTS Academic test consists of four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and
Speaking.
• Listening (30 minutes): Four recorded monologues and conversations are
presented.
• Reading (60 minutes): Three long reading passages with tasks are provided.
Texts may include diagrams, graphs, or illustrations sourced from books,
journals, magazines, and newspapers.
• Writing (60 minutes): Candidates summarize, describe, or explain a table,
graph, chart, or diagram. Additionally, they complete a short essay task of at
least 250 words.
• Speaking (11 to 14 minutes): A face-to-face interview assesses speaking
skills, including responding to short questions, speaking at length about a
familiar topic, and engaging in structured discussion.
